Blue light glasses

Increasing numbers of studies are showing that artificial light from computers, phones and indoor lighting etc. are associated with eye strain and aches. With newer studies relating harmful blue light to long term effects of vision and provoking migraines, the lab technicians at Lens Society recommends anyone who uses a digital device for work, prescription or not should wear blue light glasses to avoid migraines and promoting better sleep. Our blue light lenses only start from £20 with our reglaze service or for £20 with our new frames now available online!

Reglazing sunglasses

Lens society stocks up a wide range of lenses suitable for sunglasses too. These can range from simple tinted lenses with full UV protection to polarising lenses with new mirror coatings, all available in prescription and non-prescription lenses. We pride ourselves in making sure we are up to date with new technological advances when it comes to lenses and ensuring our customers in the UK have access to new and upcoming lenses. Below is a breakdown of the sunglass lenses we provide in our reglaze service.

As well as our in-house lenses from our UK lab we also supply original branded Oakley lenses directly from their lab, these do include prescription and non-prescription lenses.

It’s where we remove the old lenses from your frame and replace them with new ones.

There are many different reasons why people choose to reglaze. It can be because you want to replace broken or damaged lenses, or perhaps your prescription has changed. You may not want a new frame, or it may just be because you want to save money. It’s also more economical and great for the environment; saving all the manufacturing and transport of unnecessary new frames.

No, certainly not! In fact we supply and fit lenses into almost as many new frames as we do old ones.

Many people are realising it’s now possible to buy empty frames online which will be significantly cheaper than on the high street. TK Maxx for example offer up to 60% off the RRP of frames. With a huge range of high end stock, they’re the go-to place for finding your next frames at unbeatable prices.

This is unlikely, as the frames will be returned to you in the same condition and shape as they were sent to us. If you find they do not fit, opticians often will remedy this free of charge for you. If need be you can arrange for the glasses to be returned for us to remedy.
